Evelyn Bernice Lamprecht, age 98, of Lake in the Hills, IL, passed away on March 26, 2025. She was born September 17, 1926 in Elgin, IL to her loving parents, Henry and Bernice (née Wagner) Steinmann.
Evelyn attended St. John's Lutheran School, and graduated from Elgin High School. She became a registered nurse, working at Sherman Hospital for many years. She married Richard W. Lamprecht on August 2, 1947. They were together for almost 71 years before his passing in May, 2018.
Evelyn was an avid reader, and also enjoyed working in her garden. She also served with the Ladies Aid at St. John's in Elgin, and as a scout leader and a school nurse.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lamprecht; brother, Herbert Steinmann; and daughter, Barbara Lucas.
