Bette Ann Wielert (nee Richards) Born: September 20, 1937 Died: March 19, 2025 Bette Ann Wielert (nee Richards), 87, of Hinckley, IL, died peacefully on March 19, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was lucky to be taken care of at home by family and dear friends. Bette was born in Sandwich, IL, on September 20, 1937, to Del and Sally (Campbell) Richards. Bette lived in Earlville until age 10 and then moved to Hinckley. She graduated as valedictorian from Hinckley High School in 1955. She went on to Carroll College for a year, later earning a certification from Gregg Business School at Northwestern College in Chicago. Bette married Allan Wielert on November 23, 1957. Together, they had four children. In their 50 years together, they enjoyed attending NIU football games, golfing, and trips to Arizona with their friends. Bette worked at IBM, UARCO, and Richwrap. She worked at Richwrap during the holidays until her official retirement at age 82. In her free time, Bette was an avid reader
