Carrol J. Babcock, age 85, a resident of Lake In The Hills, Illinois for over 30 years, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 17, 2025.Carrol was born on October 20, 1939, in Chicago and was the daughter of the late Nicholas & Helen (nee' Kregal) Tortorich. Carrol married George C. Babcock on October 12, 1973. After 49 years of marriage, George preceded Carrol in death on January 26, 2023.After graduating high school and secretarial school, Carrol started her career as a secretary with the Illinois State's Attorney's office in Chicago. Her career included numerous secretarial positions culminating with the Executive Assistant to the CEO role at Centel Corporation, including being the Secretary to the Board of Directors, and subsequently the President of The Centel Foundation from which she retired.
