Judith "Judi" A. Bennett, 83, of Yorkville, IL, formerly of Aurora, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 24, 2025. Born January 1, 1942, in Aurora, she was the daughter of Edward and Hermina (née Stallmann) Holmes.
Judi began her career at Barber-Greene after high school. Later, while raising her family, she worked part-time at Sears, eventually becoming the full-time men's department manager. After a 30-year career, she retired to spend time with her husband and grandchildren. Judi was married to her soul mate, Robert "Bob" Bennett, for 53 wonderful years until his passing.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Judi cherished the memories of boating with her family, visiting Branson, MO, and camping at various lakes. She found joy in babysitting her grandchildren, attending garage sales and craft shows, gardening, and simply enjoying nature from her porch. As her grandchildren grew, she delighted in their company and stories.
