Dorothy Irene Cwik (Marker), a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the age of 93, in Elmhurst, IL, and is now with her Lord and Savior.
Dorothy was born on November 19, 1931, in Chicago, IL, to Joseph and Irene Marker (Knaack) of Chicago, IL. She was baptized on December 20, 1931, and confirmed on March 25, 1945, at Tabor Lutheran Church in Chicago, IL. She graduated from York High School, Elmhurst, IL, in 1949 and six years later married the love of her life, Donald Cwik, Sr. on December 17, 1955, enjoyed 68 years of marriage and together had six children. They lived in Villa Park, IL, for 35 years before retiring to Reedsburg, WI, where they lived for 16 years. In 2015, they moved back to IL, and resided in Yorkville, IL, and made their final home in Elmhurst, IL.
She rejoiced in the prospect of going to heaven and meeting with her Lord. She sang and prayed about it continually throughout her life. To en
