Herbert C. Steinmetz, Jr., age 82, passed away March 13, 2025 peacefully at Bickford of Aurora. He was born December 14, 1942 in Chicago to Herbert C. Steinmetz, Sr., and Margaret (Crowley) Steinmetz. November 8, 1969, he married Jill Troelstrup. He served in the Navy as Judge Advocate General Corp from 1968 to 1971. He then practiced law specializing in the areas of Real Estate, Estate Planning, Probate, Corporate and Business transactions with the firm Lowe & Steinmetz, LTD of Aurora, Illinois, Herb became of counsel with the Law Firm Ottosen Dinolfo Hasenbalg & Castaldo, Ltd. of Naperville, Illinois. Herbert was a Director and General Counsel to the Kane County Bar Association; was on the Board of Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc for over 40 years as a Director and a term as Chairman of the Board; a member of the Aurora Lions Club; President of the Advocate Charitable Foundation and was a Director of Sunnymere Retirement Home along with Crimestoppers, Inc.
