Lois E. McDonough, 94, of Aurora, Illinois passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at Avantara Aurora. She was born June 12, 1930 in Aurora, Illinois.
Lois was a lifelong resident of Aurora and graduated from Madonna High School and St. Charles School of Nursing, Aurora. She worked as a nurse at St. Charles Hospital until it closed and then enjoyed a long career at Mercy Center serving primarily as a surgical nurse.
Lois loved a good party, a nice cocktail, dancing, bingo, reading, traveling, Jeopardy, M&M's, and a McRib sandwich. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren
She is survived by her four children, Maureen Gillette, Michael McDonough, Kevin (Sheri) McDonough, Kim (Stephen Thompson) Zinman; eleven grandchildren, Ryan McDonough, Lisa (Phil Zielinski) Jarvis, Tanya Klein, Andy (Rhee) McDonough, Jeremy (Jennie) Klein, Josh (Michelle) Klein, Matt (Barbie) McDonough, Mickey McDonough, Logan (Ben) Zinman-Gerber, Kevin McDonough, Kyle McDonough
