Thomas J. Milak passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
He was born July 29, 1943, in Chicago, IL, son of Gustave and Dorothy nee Roche Milak.
He received a Bronze Star (with First Oak Leaf Cluster) for his service in Viet Nam. He retired from a career in IT, including IT management and system design consulting service. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed shotgun sports, especially sporting clays.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol nee Jones Milak; brother Paul (Mary Anne) Milak; daughter Zoe Milak and son James Milak, and granddaughters Arianna Pischetola and Elena Pischetola.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael.
Visitation will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8S055 Dugan Rd., Sugar Grove, IL 60554 on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m., preceding the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held privately at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with full military honors.
