Francis "Don" Stammer, also affectionately known as "Sugarfoot," 90, and his beloved wife Rose Marie Flanigan Stammer, 84, passed away within a day of each other, marking the end of a remarkable journey together. Francis was born on January 29, 1934, in Denison, Iowa, and Rose was born on November 19, 1939, in Pontiac, Michigan. They both passed away in Sugar Grove, Illinois; Rose on June 26, 2024, and Francis on June 27, 2024.
They are survived by their children: Mary Smart, Janet Stammer, Donald Stammer and his wife Debra, Julie Smith and her partner Craig Schielke, Lori Hahn and her husband Dennis, Ruth Kramp and her partner Steve Moore, and Patrick Stammer and his wife Yasmine.
Their legacy continues through their grandchildren: April Viland and her husband Josh, Tony Stammer and his wife Jenny, John Smart, Samantha Young, Joe Hahn, Ellie van Hauwermeiren and her husband Olivier, Patrick Stammer, and David Hahn.
